Base Upgrade

Most adult LGI units contain the power system which has gone through extensive changes. The power system( PS) comprises of a control box, battery, handheld switch, and charger.  Fully integrated in the base, the new PS is a very good reason for upgrading the base.  Its control box offers a battery monitor and charging indicators that inform the user with graphic displays and icons how much battery remains, and if charging is required.  The charger is integrated; an ac cord pulls out of the base to be plugged into an outlet for charging.  A safety feature also cuts off the power when plugged into ac.  Another safety feature - the emergency red button - is also included for a quick disconnect of the battery power.

The slim battery design allows it to slip into the base and under cover.

A new set of casters is another great reason for a base upgrade.  Ball bearing and soft materials in the wheels have a limited life span.  Handling of the unit as it moves over ground or locks around a treadmill can be affected by worn bearings or wheels.  Although a new set of casters can be purchased for any base, the difficulty and/or the cost of correct installation should be considered against a base upgrade which includes a new set of casters and a full year of warranty.

The installation of a new base involves only four bolts and one electrical connection to be made.
